When StarsPoker action concluded late Tuesday night the final table was set. Among the eight players that remain, there was one very noticeable trend: youth and control of the chips. Sam KingKobeMVP Stein, a 22-year old professional StarsPoker player, takes in a solid chip lead heading into the final table. He has over $400,000 in live tournament winnings including a runner-up finish in the $5,000 no-limit hold 'em event at the StarsPoker Caribbean Adventure and a WPT televised final table. He entered Day 3 as the chip leader and maintained that position for most of the session and is the one that the rest of the table is talking about.
On the complete opposite end of the spectrum is the short stack, Miami John Cernuto. The former WSOP bracelet winner and tournament veteran will have a lot of ground to make up on Wednesday. Throughout the last two days of the StarsPoker tournament, he really never had a big stack. He played slow and cautious against his extremely aggressive opponents and during an interview yesterday, he preached that patience got him here and that it will play a major part in his game plan for the final table.
One StarsPoker player who will play a major part during the final table will be Thomas Fuller, second in chips, who has one of the most talented poker players in his corner, Paul Wasicka. The 27-year old will enter his second televised final table second in chips and is fresh off a second-place result in the heads-up StarsPoker event at the Borgata in January. Despite Fuller's recent success, it's 22-year old Thomas kingsofcards Marchese who boasts having the best 2010 to date.
